A little bit about us…

Who we are

We are followers of Jesus and his words, ways and works.

What we hope to see

To see everyone on Lake Macquarie’s South experience what it means to sit at the dinner Table with Jesus and his people.

What we do

Empowering a growing number of Jesus followers to lead church around the dinner Table, to build up local community and to regularly gather in worship.

The things that make us ‘us’

“Making the main thing the main thing”

And the main thing is Jesus discipleship. In everything we do, this is what we are all about - learning to live life to the full by following the one true hero, his words, his ways and his works.

“Known for our presence, not the presence of a sign”

We believe that the church called to both shape and be shaped by local community. We value being present in the community and seek to build it up however we can.

“Prayer is the work”

So we do lots of it! We believe that it is God’s mission to transform the world, not our own, so prayer is our most important tool and task.

“Jesus eats at the dinner Table and he sets it for everyone

It doesn’t matter who you are, your age, your beliefs, your sexuality or what kind of life you’ve lived, we believe Jesus sets the Table for you to eat with him (and if there’s a spot for you at his table, there is certainly a spot for you at ours!).

“Not giving up meeting together”

Our focus, including on Sundays, is on doing church and discipleship around the Table and in homes. However, we still value connecting in with the wider body of Jesus followers. We aim to regularly gather our Tables together to worship, and we aim to partner with other churches around us as members of the Seed Network.

“Multiplication trumps addition”

Releasing people is in our DNA. From starting new churches to supporting those that are struggling to seeing cross-cutural missionaries mobilised, we look at the bigger picture.

What we believe

We affirm the shared beliefs of the Baptist Churches of NSW & ACT, you can read about them here.
